Hours:

Part-time, daytime hours with potential overtime available

Are you friendly, reliable, and enjoy working in a busy cafe environment? Canterbury Chartham Garden Centre is looking for an enthusiastic

Catering Assistant

to join our welcoming team.

In this role, you'll help deliver excellent customer service in our popular cafe, supporting the team to create a warm and enjoyable experience for every visitor.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Serving food and drinks efficiently and with a smile Clearing and cleaning tables to maintain a tidy and inviting environment Assisting with food preparation and simple kitchen tasks Operating the till and handling customer transactions accurately Restocking supplies and ensuring counters and display areas are well presented Following food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times Supporting colleagues during busy periods and helping with additional duties as needed

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic Enjoys working as part of a team in a customer-facing role Can stay calm and cheerful under pressure Is flexible and happy to take on varied tasks
Previous experience in catering or hospitality is helpful but not essential--full training will be provided.
