Job Description

Job purpose:

Assist in the serving of meals to staff and pupils. Assist in the setting up and clearing down of service areas

Responsibilities

The role may encompass all the following duties. The exact duties and responsibilities and balance of workload will be determined in discussion with the post holder's line manager.

To set up the service area for meals. To serve pupils and staff. To clean down after service.
Any other duty which may be reasonably requested of the line manager. For the avoidance of doubt, the duties and responsibilities contained within this job description may change from time to time according to the requirements of the role and it is not intended to have a contractual effect. All staff are expected to comply with the School's Health and Safety policies in the in the performance of their duties.

Skills

Previous experience in catering or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Experience in serving or restaurant work is desirable Barista experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus Friendly, professional attitude with a genuine interest in delivering high-quality service Organised with good attention to detail to ensure smooth operations during events
