Are you looking for a varied & flexible part time role working with families ? Join our team facilitating child contact services in Hassocks, Haywards Heath and the surrounding Sussex community.

As a child contact supervisor you will be overseeing time spent between a parent and child/ren not currently living with them. The children we work with may be living with one parent, a foster family, a guardian or family member. Full training is given in both child contact and family support.

We need people with either weekday available ( which must include also being available after school hours) and/or those looking for one or two days work at a weekend. This is a flexible role to fit around other part time positions, family life or semi retirement.

You do get to choose which work to accept, but we cannot guarantee minimum monthly hours as the role is demand driven by family needs. The key is to be flexible and regularly available, as we allocate families to you and they session are often weekly.

Applicants must have experience working with families and/or children and be willing to regularly work at both our contact centres as well as undertake contact sessions in the the surrounding community

. Owning a car is essential as much of our work is community based. In addition you may be required to undertake child transport to and from contact sessions occasionally. Travel time and mileage is paid for community based contact sessions but not for work in both our centres.

Report writing is required after most contact sessions so you must own a computer and have excellent written and spoken English. You will also use various software including, but not limited to, Dropbox, Word and work emails within the role as well as keeping and totalling detailed accurate records of the work undertaken each month.

You would need to obtain and pay for an enhanced DBS if successful in the recruitment process if you do not currently have one for the child workforce dated within 3 years.

Salary: 13.00-15.00 per hour based on day of week worked. (13 weekdays, 14 Saturdays and 15 Sundays) . Report writing 13 per hour. This is an employed position.
