Part Time Childcare Practitioner

This post is PART TIME - MATERNITY COVER - TERM TIME ONLY - JOB SHARE
HOURS: 13.5 hrs per week, 8.15am-3.15pm Wednesdays and Fridays
NOTE We may have some flexibility with start and finish times, there is scope for possible additional hours at our other setting in town, and we may be able to extend the role beyond the maternity cover period.
Daisy and Rainbow Childcare is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where children can thrive and enjoy lifelong learning through play.
Join our warm and welcoming team at Daisy Preschool as a Keyperson supporting children aged 2-4 in a creative, play-based environment.
You'll work closely with a small group of key children, planning activities, observing development, and supporting learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Our open-plan setting encourages mixed-age play, co-exploration, and strong team collaboration.
We're looking for someone who is:
A Level 3 qualification in Early Years
Experience working with children under 5
Playful, caring, and reflective Comfortable joining in with children's play and supporting their learning through meaningful interactions Confident in planning from observations and communicating with families Attentive to children's care needs and safety Willing to lead small group sessions, support daily routines, and contribute to a calm and inspiring learning environmentYou'll also take responsibility for a curriculum area, help maintain our garden and indoor spaces, and use WhatsApp to share daily updates with parents.
