Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to engage with customers effectively. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining shop displays, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Bilingual or multilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries. Provide product information and recommendations to enhance customer experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop floor and displays. Process transactions accurately at the till and handle cash responsibly. Assist in restocking shelves and managing inventory levels. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth shop operations. Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Participate in promotional activities and events as required.

Requirements

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is an advantage. Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if necessary. A friendly disposition with a genuine interest in helping customers.
