Duties

Assist in food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to established recipes and food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and shop area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Engage with customers, providing knowledgeable assistance and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. Upsell products by effectively communicating features and benefits to customers. Manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines during busy periods. Support the team in stock management, including receiving deliveries, checking inventory levels, and restocking shelves as needed. Utilise basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash registers.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for food and customer service is key. Familiarity with food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being proactive in assisting customers independently.
