Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team at a busy and welcoming golf clubhouse set in a beautiful rural location between Dorchester and Weymouth. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for food, high standards, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will play a key role in delivering consistently high-quality meals to our members and guests while contributing to menu development and smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present high-quality, visually appealing dishes in a busy kitchen environment Ensure all food preparation and service meets company standards and complies with food safety and hygiene regulations Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient service during peak periods Assist with the creation and development of menus, including options to suit a range of dietary requirements Support stock control, including ordering, storage, and rotation of supplies Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times
Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Cook in a busy restaurant, cafe, or similar hospitality setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen equipment Understanding of menu planning, portion control, and cost awareness Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure Good time management and organisational skills Relevant culinary or hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential
