Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards
Support the cooking process by following established procedures to ensure consistent quality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Prepare meals efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail
Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to meet visual standards
Support serving staff by providing timely and accurate food delivery when required
Participate in stocktaking and inventory management as needed
Requirements
Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Experience working in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
A genuine interest in culinary arts and customer service excellence
