Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to navigate various routes efficiently. The Delivery Driver will also be expected to assist with loading and unloading items, making this a physically demanding position that involves heavy lifting.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, performing heavy lifting as necessary. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Assist in warehouse duties when not on deliveries, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driving licence. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. A proactive approach to problem-solving and route planning is essential.
