Dental Nurse / Receptionist



Hopton Dental Surgery seek a skilled, versatile, GDC Registered Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced team of dental professionals in delivering comprehensive dental services.

Part time 3 Days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) Fully Private Practice - Mixture of patients on maintenance plans and private pay-as-you-go. Fully established family run dental practice of over 40 years with long standing patients. Fully computerized (SOE, Exact) with digital x-rays, intra-oral cameras and Primescan (Dentsply Sirona) intra-oral scanner. Beautiful, modern, well equipped dental surgery set in the pretty village of Hopton, between Diss/Thetford on the Norfolk Suffolk Boarder. Competitive rates of pay.

Requirements



Education & Certification

: Must hold a recognised dental nursing qualification and be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).

Clinical Skills

: Proficient in assisting during dental procedures, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Patient Care

: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage patient care, explain procedures, and ensure patients are comfortable and informed.

Administrative skills

Competence in managing appointments, taking payments, managing patient plans, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Customer Service

: Exceptional customer service skills to welcome patients, handle inquiries, and provide information.

Team Collaboration

: Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with dentists, hygienists, and other staff.

Communication Skills

: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and external parties.

Organizational Skills

: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage a busy reception area efficiently.

Technical Skills

: Familiarity with dental practice management software (Exact, Software of Excellence) and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities



Provide exceptional patient care by assisting with dental procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Utilize IT skills to maintain patient records and manage administrative tasks efficiently. Communicate effectively with patients and staff, demonstrating strong organizational skills. Uphold GDC standards and maintain a professional and welcoming environment. Ability to take on role of Infection Prevention Lead and assist in completing audits preferred.
