Selsdon Dental Surgery are seeking a part time dental nurse to join our fun and professional team!

The idea candidate will work every Tuesday with the potential of more days and hours as time goes on. The ideal candidate will also be expected to cover sickness and annual leave of nurses who work on other days.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required using IT systems. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Organise appointments and manage the dental surgery schedule efficiently. Assist in the sterilisation of instruments and maintain a clean working environment. Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest dental practices.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in dental nursing is preferred, but not essential for candidates with relevant experience. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A commitment to providing outstanding patient care with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Proficiency in IT systems related to dental practice management is advantageous. Fluency in English is required for effective communication within the practice.

Pay: 14.55-15.03 per hour
