Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dental Nurse to join our friendly, fully private dental practice for one a week on Tuesdays. The position is to cover maternity for one year. The ideal candidate will assist our dental team in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The successful applicant will be an organized, compassionate, and professional individual committed to supporting both patients and staff. Training and induction will begin in December and the position will be available to start in January.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials Ensure the sterilization and proper handling of dental equipment and tools Provide chairside support to enhance patient comfort during treatments Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist Support infection control protocols to uphold hygiene standards within the practice Offer reassurance and support to anxious or nervous patients Manage reception duties such as greeting patients and handling administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

Certification in dental nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is required Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Compassionate approach to patient care and confidentiality Flexibility to work part-time hours, including some Saturdays if necessary
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
