PART TIME DRIVER

30 hours per week Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 2pm

(additional Fridays may be required)

Reporting to our purchasing manager, we require a part-time delivery driver to support our sub-contract operation and customer base

The person:

The right person will have a flexible approach to working. There may be occasional earlier starts, later finishes or additional Friday work, depending on our workflow.

Driving license

Previous manual handling experience

Forklift truck license would be an advantage, but not essential (training can be provided).

good communication and interpersonal skills

Reliable, friendly and professional demeanor. The role will involve some communication with our customer and supply chain

Good eyesight and hearing

A good knowledge of the local area

Ability to manage your own time, prioritise workloads, and to work to given deadlines

The role

Daily collection and delivery of a variety of parts to our sub-contractors, supply chain, and customers based across the UK in our panel van, or 3.5-ton curtain-sided Luton style van depending on load.

Our main delivery points are based in the west midlands, but occasional routes to the northwest, Yorkshire, east Anglia, Hampshire and the southwest of the UK

Plan out best daily routes ensuring all collections and drops are completed accurately and attentively

Daily vehicle checks ensuring vehicles are road-worthy and well-maintained

Weekly cleaning tidying and refueling of vehicles.

Assisting with warehouse and material movement duties on site when driving duties are complete.
