Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team in a laundrette. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This position requires a commitment to quality and an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment to clean and finish linens and garments. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management. Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling chemicals and operating machinery. Collaborate with other shops and staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items to various dcustomers.

Requirements

Previous experience in a laundry preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques related to laundry operations.
