Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. You will assist with daily living activities, ensuring that each resident receives the support they need to maintain their dignity and independence. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans are essential for this role.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with promoting good nutrition. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life. Follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment. Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome those new to the field who are eager to learn. A good command of English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and care plans is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to empathise with others are crucial for success in this role.
