Permanent, Part-Time

Hours:

2 night shifts per week (19:30 PM - 7:30 AM), on a rolling rota including weekends

About Hawthorn Court

Hawthorn Court is a 22-bed residential care home located in a peaceful community just outside Swansea. We provide personalised care for older adults, including those living with dementia, in a warm, home-like setting where comfort and respect are at the heart of everything we do--day and night.

Your Role

As a Night Care Assistant, you'll help residents feel safe and supported while they rest. Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering personal care with sensitivity and respect Assisting with bedtime routines and morning preparations Providing emotional reassurance and comfort during the night Monitoring residents' well-being and promptly reporting any concerns Supporting light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and peaceful environment Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth overnight care

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who's more than just caring - we need someone confident, proactive, and ready to get stuck in.

You'll thrive in this role if:

You've worked in a busy, fast-paced care home and know how to stay calm and focused under pressure You have experience supporting people living with dementia, with empathy and patience You're a team player who communicates well and can think on your feet You're someone who takes initiative You're reliable, respectful, and always put residents' dignity first You're open to learning - full training is provided, and we'll support your development NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is a plus (or willingness to work towards it)
