Job Description

We are a busy nursery with a happy working atmosphere with friendly staff who range in age. Most of our staff have been with us for several years and we have a good record of staff retention. We are currently aiming to recruit a fully qualified level 3 Early Years practitioner who has had 1 or more years experience working within the sector to start in September.

The roles and responsibilities of the job will include:

- communicating with children, practitioners and parents on a daily basis
- working with multi agency professionals to support children's development
- following the EYFS curriculum to maintain high standards of care, learning and wellbeing
- participate in daily routines such as cleaning, preparing activities and conducting observations and assessments
- completing risk assessments, daily sheets, registers and various records surrounding children's wellbeing and development
- conducting parent meetings to discuss changes in development, interests and requirements
- maintain a professional attitude at all times and represent the setting positively
- attend relevant training courses, supervisory meetings and staff meetings
- be willing to provide evidence for DBS check
- complete individual planning for children's developmental needs and abilities
- comply with Special Educational Needs and inclusion policy

The desired applicant will have experience of supporting a key group of children, parent partnerships and a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.

Shift Pattern.

For this position we are hoping to recruit for 2 or 3 full days to balance with another part time member of staff's working hours. However, shift patterns may vary due to the needs of the nursery so the desired applicant must be prepared to flexible and reliable. Hours will be assigned across Monday - Friday, our opening hours are 7.30am - 6pm, we are also open bank holidays between 8am - 4pm and staff alternate bank holidays worked each year.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 28 per week
