Due to various upcoming projects we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive part-time Payroll Specialist to support the payroll function across multiple European countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local regulations and tax requirements.

Vacancy Details
In the role of Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll for UK employees working across various European countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Process monthly and weekly payroll for UK employees stationed in various European countries, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Assist in managing UK shadow payrolls for internationally mobile employees, ensuring correct reporting and compliance.
Liaise with payroll vendors, tax advisors, and internal and external stakeholders to coordinate payroll activities and resolve payroll-related issues.
Maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring timely input and verification of payroll data, including salaries, bonuses, tax deductions, and benefits.
Ensure timely submission of tax and social security filings in compliance with European and UK payroll regulations.
Assist with payroll audits and reporting, ensuring all payroll-related data is accurate and up to date.
Support month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations and reporting to finance teams.
Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation across European jurisdictions and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Address employee queries regarding payroll, tax, and benefits in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate with HR to ensure that employee status changes, new hires, and terminations are accurately reflected in the payroll system.
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience in European payroll processing and knowledge of payroll legislation in multiple jurisdictions.
Familiarity with UK shadow payrolls and European employment laws.
Strong understanding of tax, social security, and compliance requirements across Europe.
Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and managing third-party relationships.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in payroll data processing.
Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to work with international teams.
Knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations related to payroll processing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications:
Payroll or finance-related qualification (e.g., CIPP, IPP, or equivalent).
Previous experience working in a multinational or global payroll environment.
Experience with HR and payroll systems such as Zellis, Workday or ADP.
