Job Overview

The Pharmacy Assistant will support the pharmacy team by assisting with dispensing medications, providing patient care, and helping with general pharmacy operations. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in a professional healthcare setting.

Duties:

Assist pharmacists with accurately dispensing prescriptions Help manage medication stock, including organization and replenishment Provide friendly and helpful customer service, answering patient queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products Support the administration of medication under pharmacist supervision, ensuring safety protocols are followed Maintain accurate records in accordance with data protection regulations Ensure the pharmacy remains clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards Support patients with information on medication usage and potential side effects

Skills:

Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is desirable

but not essential

A keen interest in healthcare and pharmacy operations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good communication skills to assist patients and work with the pharmacy team Ability to work independently with initiative, as well as part of a team Compassionate and patient-focused approach to customer service Understanding of basic health and safety standards in a pharmacy
