InstaStaff are currently recruiting for a Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a leading manufacturing company based in Aston
You must be a detailed orientated and productive individual with previous experience within a similar role.
You will play a crucial role in managing the account's payable function, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
The duties of the Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk will include:
Process purchase invoices and ensure timely payments to suppliers
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounting system
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
Support the finance team with data entry and administrative tasks
Liaise with suppliers regarding payment queries and account balances
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable
Making payments via BACS and cheques
Processing staff expenses
Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account detail
Filing invoices
Managing petty cash
Data entry
Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary
The ideal Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk will have:
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 200
A strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial services
Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
A good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft office packages
Demonstrable experience of bookkeeping
Hours of work will be Monday - Friday 20 hours per week, flexible hours to suit you.
Salary for the Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk will be 28,000 pr rata
