They are wholesalers, importers and pack for retailers of a wide range of goods including dried fruits, nuts seeds and associated products.
Job Overview
To maintain the security and integrity of the raw material supplied into Community Foods meets the required specification both for CFL and CFL's customer. Ensuring the safe and controlled positive release of goods into the production factory and to third party customers.
Inspections and place of work will be at CFL Witham, Cammack and the Commodity Centre ( Storage warehouse). It is essential the person holds a full driving license to commute from CFL Witham to Commodity Centre which is located at Great Braxted (2.5 mile journey) and Cammack located in Earls Colne (10 mile journey)
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure all raw materials are inspected upon arrival to meet specification at CFL or Cammack or Commodity center warehouse and generate a quality report.
Conduct intake checks including quality assessments of the product.
Inspect product returns from the customers in assistance with product rework.
Monitors and coordinates samples for third party laboratory testing in a timely manner.
Completes concession forms when requested by Supply Chain.
Positive release of product when the laboratory results have been received and reviewed and physical inspection of raw materials completed.
Reviews and collate COA / COC from origin and internal testing for product release for sale and for packing.
Updating the quality status and details of the product on SAP.
Completing the sample report sheet.
Follow through customer complaints to ensure that the batch/rotation is checked before being released.
Raising Non-conformances / complaints back to suppliers when any issues with Raw Materials are identified.
Maintaining Non-conformance log and product rejections report.
Maintaining product testing logs / schedules.
Ensure quality systems are maintained at all times.
Assist with technical/quality audits.
Liaising with commercial /technical/operations team with quality issues.
Establish sound understanding of the quality aspiration of key customer requirements.
OTHER
Support development by assisting with samples and new developments
To develop and maintain productive communication links with the production and operational staff
To develop and maintain customer and supplier liaison, developing trust and understanding to ensure an efficient, sustainable and mutually productive relationship is in place.
To deliver on agreed personal and team KPI's

Education and qualifications
Ideally Educated to GCSE/ A Level or Equivalent Standard
Good Working Knowledge / Experience of
Experience of working in a food manufacturing/operations environment
