We are seeking an energetic, highly organised and proactive Rehabilitation Assistant for an independent young lady in her 30s based in Stratford, London, to assist with administrative, practical day-to-day tasks and leisure activities.

Please note: All applicants must have access to their own vehicle that is suitably sized to accommodate the client's foldable walking frame (Nitro Rollator) and must be able to drive for work-related purposes.

Hours



Initially, Mondays 12.30pm - 7.00pm (6.5 hours), but additional days may be needed. 20ph plus travel expenses/mileage when driving the client or as part of your work duties within work time.

Responsibilities



Assisting the client with the management and organisation of her calendar, including coordinating and scheduling appointments, researching and making travel and social arrangements. Filing incoming emails, calls, and post; responding to and liaising with other service providers when appropriate. Supporting with ordering medications and other online orders. Assist with monthly budgeting. Driving the client in your own vehicle to community-based activities, such as shopping, when required. Support clients with fatigue and pain management, including implementing preventative strategies to reduce symptom escalation. Initiate and facilitate therapeutic activities or tasks that promote functional independence and rehabilitation goals. During problem-solving tasks, contribute ideas and propose alternative solutions to help clients overcome challenges and complete activities effectively. Provide physical assistance as needed, including lifting or positioning mobility aids (e.g., walking frame), carrying shopping bags or other items, and offering support during outings and on public transport. Undertaking any other duties as may be necessary consistent with the objectives of the post, as required.

Requirements



Proven experience as a professional Rehab Assistant / Support Worker or in a support role. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills. Excellent and confident verbal and written communication skills. Discretion, confidentiality, and a respectful approach to sensitive matters. Proficient IT skills. Clean driving licence and appropriate vehicle insurance. Access to own vehicle. Recent references. Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs. A kind, caring, and considerate nature, with a proactive and motivated attitude. Goal-driven and confident, with a sense of fun and a positive outlook. Strong family values and an understanding of their importance in daily life. Open-minded and accepting of different cultures, religions, mental health needs, and health conditions or injuries.
