We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting the Head Chef with kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety. Responsibilities
Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including food preparation and production.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings.
Oversee daily food production, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes served.
Maintain an organised kitchen environment, including inventory management and stock rotation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
Help in the planning of staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak service times.
Provide support during service hours, stepping in as needed to assist with cooking and plating.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding culinary experiences.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
