We currently require Support Workers to support our residents with part time positions available.
Silverlea Equine Facilitated Supported Living provides support and equine facilitated learning for adults with learning disabilities. We have horses, sheep and dogs on our farm and all of our service users have a special interest in animals.

Job Overview
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our individuals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and tailored support, ensuring that each individual can achieve their personal goals and live as independently as possible. This position requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Candidates should be able to work in an environment where animals are present and will be expected to attend activities with residents for example going to the farm, for walks, cafe's, bowling, the cinema, swimming, the gym etc.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including, shopping, socialising, meal preparation, accessing work experience and the farm
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
Drive clients to appointments or community activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition
As well as the above, you will be required to support residents with money management, cleaning and completing their household chores, shopping, accessing the community and their chosen activities and offering them support in all aspects of their daily lives.

Skills
Experience in Care or working with Learning Disabilities is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Ability to drive is essential for transporting clients when required.
Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
A compassionate nature with a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals.

We are currently recruiting for a range of evening, weekend and sleep in shifts
Payrate: Daytime hours: 14.00 per hour
Sleep in shift: 75 per night
You must be eligible to work in the UK and would be subject to a reference check and enhanced DBS check prior to starting at Silverlea.
You would also be required to undergo mandatory online training as part of the induction process and attend other mandatory CPD training throughout your employment.
Staff are required to drive residents to activities so a driving licence, business insurance on your car and the ability to use your own car to transport residents is essential.
