We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by unloading and loading vans, and sorting dishes & crockery to be returned.
Responsibilities
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading lorries.
Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for dispatch.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment.
Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management.
Ensure quality control measures are adhered to during all processes.
Provide support for mechanical tasks as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge when applicable.
Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with materials handling techniques is advantageous.
Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is beneficial.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems will be considered an asset.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control practices.
