Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales by providing exceptional service and support. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about helping customers find the right products and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The role is for regular weekend work.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Provide knowledgeable information about products, including features, benefits, and pricing. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. Maintain a clean and organised sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed and stocked. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns with professionalism and courtesy. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall store performance. Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and conducting stock checks as required.

Skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic numerical skills for handling transactions and managing cash effectively. A positive attitude with a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
