We're looking for a friendly, motivated person to join our team! You'll be based in

Perth & Kinross or Forth Valley

, focusing on recruiting local volunteers to become mentors. You'll do this by engaging with the local community and building great working relationships with local businesses, public services and other organisations.

You'll work closely with our Partnerships Manager and local teams to engage with local organisations and people to promote the MCR Pathways programme. Your main goal is to recruit committed volunteers who will mentor a young person at a school for just one hour a week during term time for at least one year

Key Responsibilities



Find and recruit new volunteer mentors by connecting with people and groups in local communities Attend events (in person and online) to present to and engage with potential volunteers, Clearly explain the charity's work and the great difference it makes for both young people and mentors. You'll build positive relationships with potential mentors through meetings and presentations. Work with the wider MCR Team, schools, and partners to make sure our mentor recruitment efforts are right for each local area. Help promote MCR Pathways recruitment campaigns across your local area. Keep accurate records of all your activities in our system to track our progress.

About You



You're great at building positive relationships with both organisations and individual people. You are confident giving engaging presentations about our work to different groups and individuals. You can work well on your own and as a vital part of a team. You strongly believe in the potential of young people and act as a positive, committed role model. You have good knowledge of the local area, including community groups, employers, and local organisations.
It would be helpful if you have some experience in mentoring, volunteering, or working in the charity sector. Most importantly, you should be a "people person," open-minded, and happy talking to large groups as well as having one-to-one chats.

Location:

Home-based with significant travel across Perth and Kinross and Forth Valley. A driving license and car are essential for the role and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
