The role




This position is a collaborative role providing key oversight and support to the Underwriting function as part of the Partnership Operations team. The Partnership Operations has within their remit Binders, Lineslips, Consortia, and Master Policies/Group Schemes.

Key accountabilities




Working as part of the Partnership Operations Technical team to assist in implementing the Partnership Operations Technical Framework. Assist in Technical Account Management for all Lineslips, third-party binders and Pine Walk cells including EPI reviews, Acquisition Cost queries and Aged Debt

reporting.
Support the process for calculation and payment of Profit Commission (PCs). Assist in coordination of queries from external and internal audit functions. Oversight and Quality Assurance of Prequel data entry, of both master references and the underlying declarations, which is performed by an outsourced service

provider.
Coordination and management of queries raised by the service provider. Management of the service, including setting and monitoring of KPIs, and establishing controls in source systems where appropriate to support. Identify potential improvements to current processes and assisting with various large projects across the organization #

Skills & experience




At least 5 years' experience in a similar role Experience managing third party service providers, including off-shore Knowledge of Binders, Lineslips, and other forms of Delegated Authority Knowledge of insurance processes and underwriting practices in the Lloyd's and/or Company markets Strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively and professionally with diverse groups at all levels across the business Excellent Excel and Power BI skills, together with competency in other MS Office applications (Word, Outlook and Adobe Standard) required Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations A practical understanding of Underwriting systems. Ability to comprehend new concepts quickly and take initiative with own personal development. Ability to self-lead and work effectively both independently and with teams. Ability to deliver and manage accurate thoughtful detail-oriented work within tight deadlines. Demonstrable experience of working in fast paced environments with the ability to problem solve and react quickly to changing priorities #
