Part-Qualified Management Accountant

to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone actively studying towards their

ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification

who is seeking to build a career within a progressive finance function.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of finance activities, working closely with senior finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting:

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts Support year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger Assist in VAT returns, tax computations, and statutory compliance

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Support the preparation of budget reports and financial forecasts Monitor actual vs. budget performance and provide variance analysis Assist in cash flow forecasting to optimize financial planning

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Process invoices, payments, and expenses Ensure timely reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts Assist in improving credit control and cash collection processes

Process Improvement & Compliance:

Support the automation of financial processes to improve efficiency Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and company policies Contribute to internal controls and risk management procedures

The Person:

Education & Qualifications:

Part-qualified in ACCA / CIMA / ACA (actively studying) Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Skills & Experience:

1-3 years of experience in a similar finance role (experience in a SaaS environment is desirable but not essential) Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting principles Proficient in Excel; experience with Xero is desirable Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
