We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our agricultural machinery team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and technicians seeking machinery parts, ensuring efficient inventory management and exceptional service. This role requires strong communication skills, automotive or agricultural machinery knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and familiarity with agricultural machinery diagnostics and repair are highly desirable. The Parts Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting machinery maintenance and repair operations, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Duties
Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct machinery parts through effective communication and product knowledge.
Manage inventory control, including stocking, order fulfillment, and tracking parts using inventory management software systems.
Process sales transactions accurately using retail math, cash handling procedures, and POS systems.
Maintain organized stockrooms and ensure parts are properly labeled and stored for easy retrieval.
Collaborate with service technicians to facilitate timely order fulfillment for machinery repairs and maintenance.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating professionalism with phone etiquette.
Support marketing initiatives by promoting available parts and services to customers.
Assist with general maintenance tasks around the parts department to ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking inventory levels, sales data, and other departmental reports as needed.
Engage in sales management activities to upsell or recommend additional products that meet customer needs.
Experience
Proven experience in automotive or agricultural machinery parts sales or dealership environment preferred.
Knowledge of automotive or agricultural diagnostics, machinery maintenance, repair processes, and automotive or agricultural machinery service standards is highly advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage stock levels effectively.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with retail sales, cashiering, and retail math enhances success in this role.
Prior experience in marketing or promotional activities related to automotive or agricultural machinery parts is beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
