Parts Advisor

Reading, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are looking for a Parts Advisor to join the Lister Wilder family at our branch near Reading. While industry experience is highly desirable, we are also open to candidates who are interested in starting a career in parts as a Trainee Parts Advisor, or individuals from other industries who would like to transition into the groundcare and agricultural machinery sector.

If you have previous experience in a Parts environment -- particularly within groundcare, construction or agricultural machinery -- or you bring a strong mechanical mindset and a willingness to learn, this could be a great next step for you.

As a Parts Advisor, you will play a pivotal role within the dealership, sourcing parts for both our workshop team and our customers. A mechanical understanding that helps you identify parts accurately will be a real advantage, as will any working knowledge of groundcare or agricultural machinery. Excellent customer interaction skills are essential, as you'll be liaising daily with engineers, colleagues and customers alike.

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with Saturday mornings (8:00am-12:00pm) required on a rota basis.

The Ideal Candidate

A team player who works well under pressure and remains calm during busy periods A confident communicator with strong customer service skills Comfortable using IT systems, with a willingness to learn new platforms Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to use initiative Mechanically minded, with an interest in machinery and parts Industry experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right candidate Knowledge of IBCOS GOLD would be a distinct advantage
If you have the right attitude and eagerness to learn, we'll provide all the training and support to help you succeed.
