38,000 per annum

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 5.00pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive

Parts Manager

to take charge of our parts department. The successful candidate will oversee the ordering, control, and distribution of parts for our fleet and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the parts department, including stock control, purchasing, and supplier management. Source and order parts for construction plant, vehicles and equipment as required. Maintain accurate inventory records and implement stock rotation systems. Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing and service levels. Support workshop and maintenance teams with parts identification and availability. Monitor usage trends and forecast demand. Ensure parts storage areas are well-organised and comply with health and safety requirements. Manage parts returns, warranties, and credits. Produce regular reports on stock levels, costs, and supplier performance.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in a similar role (Parts Manager, Stores Supervisor, or similar), ideally within the plant hire/transport industry. Strong knowledge of plant machinery parts. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Proficient with stock management systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and manage budgets. A hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
