We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day running of the finance function. The role will involve a range of transactional accounting duties, with a strong focus on purchase ledger and credit control. Experience using
Sage 200
is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Credit control, including monitoring aged debt and chasing outstanding balances
Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
Scanning and maintaining digital backup documentation for purchase invoices
Assisting with month-end tasks as required
Supporting the finance team with general accounts administration
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role
Sage 200 experience preferred
(or similar accounting systems)
Good understanding of purchase ledger and credit control processes
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Confident using Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
Good communication skills and a proactive approach

Experience in a small to medium-sized business environment
