Job Summary

We are looking for a ranger to work a flexible roster at our outdoor experience centre. The role will involve meeting visitors for alpaca trekking and checking them in. Introducing the visitors to the alpacas and speaking a bit about them. Conducting a safety briefing, then pairing alpacas with visitors for alpaca trekking. Leading the groups and answering questions along the way. Maintaining safety along the way and handling any events that may occur. Being able to serve hot and cold drinks from our coffee trailer and general interaction and engagement with visitors. Creating a memorable enjoyable experience for all is essential.

Responsibilities

Serve customers with high-quality beverages and food items while ensuring a pleasant experience. Maintaining alpaca welfare, feeding and keeping water supplied and clean. Mucking out of pens. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee trailer and serving areas, adhering to food safety standards. Keeping toilets clean and maintained daily. Prepare food items and beverages efficiently, utilising our EPOS. Manage time effectively to meet customer demands during peak hours. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.

Qualifications

Proven barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and serving techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus Animal handling experience or to be comfortable handling larger animals
This role requires a flexible individual who can commit to working weekdays as well as weekends.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
