Overview

We are seeking a talented Baker and Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating, with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of food safety practices.

This is a part-time, flexible role ideal for someone passionate about health-conscious baking and delivering high-quality, beautiful desserts.

If you have a strong foundation in pastry, an eye for presentation, and experience working with alternative ingredients (or a willingness to learn), we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Bake a range of gluten-free, sugar-free, and keto-friendly pastries Design and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and seasonal themes. Prepare cake batters, and fillings while adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management. Stay updated on current trends in cake design and decoration techniques.

Requirements

Proven experience in baking, pastries and cake decorator Strong baking skills and cake decorating techniques. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen environments. Familiarity with gluten-free, sugar-free, or low-carb baking (preferred) Ability to work efficiently and independently Attention to detail in taste, texture, and visual presentation Culinary or pastry qualification (preferred but not essential) Must be available 1-2 days per week (schedule varies by project)
