We are a long-standing Estate Agency specialising in residential and commercial sales and lettings, and we're looking for an experienced
Part-Time Bookkeeper / Finance Administrator
to become a valued member of our close-knit team.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a solid finance background who is also organised, detail-focused, and confident coordinating with both clients and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter supplier bills and credits accurately into the accounting system.
Perform regular bank reconciliations.
Arrange supplier quotes and manage accounts payable.
Process and issue statements, remittances, purchase and sales invoices.
Reconcile payments to customer and supplier accounts.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
Maintain financial records and support the company accountant with year-end returns.
Manage filing, administrative records and rent accounts efficiently.
Coordinate maintenance work for landlords and tenants:
. Arrange necessary repairs or services with approved contractors.
. Follow up to ensure work is completed satisfactorily and within agreed timelines.
. Track associated costs and ensure invoices are received, approved, and paid.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in bookkeeping or finance administration.
Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
Solid understanding of general accounting principles, including VAT.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical/literacy skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
Self-motivated and able to take responsibility for your own workload.
Confident communicator - comfortable dealing with clients and contractors via phone, email, and occasionally in person.
