We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our Private Client lawyers with the running of Trust and Probate files. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software, but training will be provided if not experienced in Trust and Estates work.
Duties
Maintain and update Estate and Trust financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage Estate and Trust accounts.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
Prepare financial reports.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information as needed.
Utilise accounting software for efficient record-keeping.
Assist in the preparation for audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Complete returns to HMRC.
Experience
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work under pressure, using initiative and adopting a proactive approach.
