Are you an experienced and discreet Housekeeper or Butler looking for a part-time role in a refined private household? We're seeking a professional, trustworthy individual to care for a beautiful residence in Cambridge.

The principal resides in the home only a few days a week and is accompanied by trusted staff from London during these times. Your role will focus on maintaining the home to the highest standard, supporting visiting staff, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the home, including turndown service when required. Perform deep cleaning when the principal is away Provide a high level of BMS/AV/HVAC technical support Assist and liaise with visiting staff during the principal's stays Clothes pressing, and travel packing/unpacking Organise and care for a high-end wardrobe and personal belongings Maintain antiques, artwork, and fine furnishings (training provided) Occasional service of drinks/refreshments Prepare the property for the principal's arrival and shut it down afterwards Manage household budgets and keep accurate records of expenditure Oversee contractors, tradespeople, and coordinate with chefs and other staff Support household errands and shopping (locally and online) Provide assistance with occasional dinners and events Cooking skills are a bonus but not essential

About You:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar private household or luxury hospitality role Discreet, dependable, and highly organised Exceptional attention to detail and initiative Computer literate Experienced with using high-tech Home BMS/AV/HVAC systems Based within easy reach of Cambridge city centre and willing to travel occasionally Holds a valid passport and the right to work in the UK Dog-friendly Ideal for semi-retired or freelance housekeepers/butlers
