We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee our team of cleaners and ensure that the school environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This is a vital role within our facilities team, supporting the smooth daily operation of the school.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team across classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, and communal areas Plan and monitor daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain high standards of hygiene Conduct regular inspections of the premises and address any cleaning or maintenance issues Ensure cleaning staff follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations Provide training, support, and feedback to cleaning team members Manage cleaning materials, equipment, and stock levels, ensuring timely ordering and proper storage Liaise with the Site Manager and School Leadership on maintenance, safety, and staffing matters Respond promptly to any urgent cleaning or hygiene needs that arise during the school day Janitorial duties - Sweeping, mopping, machining, emptying bins Floor cleaning - Using scrubber dryers to clean suitable areas - Vacuum cleaning any matted areas Spot cleaning glass, chrome and stainless steel Cleaning washrooms & toilets, sink, urinals and floors Recycling waste and maintaining areas - Sweeping & mopping corridors Proven experience in a cleaning supervisory role, preferably within a school or similar environment Strong knowledge and understanding of COSHH Ability to conduct and maintain COSHH risk assessments and ensure safe storage and handling of cleaning chemicals
Previous cleaning experience is preferred with knowledge of using cleaning machinery and COSHH.

An Enhanced DBS is essential for this role.

Full training for that specific site will be given

Uniform will be supplied

Hours & shift pattern Mon-Fri. 25 hours per week 3pm-8pm.
