We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation and ensuring that our high standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Support the team in cooking and presenting dishes according to restaurant specifications. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Supervise junior kitchen staff as required, fostering a positive team environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong interest in food preparation and culinary arts. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is preferred. Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate leadership qualities when needed. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards learning and development. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
