Avilble for wednesday Evenings and all day Saturdays plus cover when other chef is away

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking of various dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining hygiene and food safety regulations at all times Assist with plating and presentation of meals to meet quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Contribute ideas for menu development and improve existing recipes based on customer feedback

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures Experience in meal preparation, including handling raw ingredients safely Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including cleaning routines and hygiene practices Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes
