Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-time Early Years Practitioner to join our unique and nurturing nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children.

This role will consist of 2 full days per week (Thursday & Friday) in our 3-5yr playroom. This is a fixed contract from October 2025 until the end of June 2026.

We are a highly reputable family-run nursery located within picturesque woodland grounds in Alloway. We provide childcare and early learning for children from 6 weeks to 5 years. Our staff team are highly experienced, welcoming and inclusive.

The successful candidate will hold an HNC, or equivalent, in Early Education and preferably experience working within a nursery environment.

Candidates who do not hold the relevant childcare qualifications will not be considered.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging educational experiences that cater to the developmental needs of each child. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children and families. Manage daily routines and ensure the smooth operation of the nursery. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development. Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of care and education within the nursery setting. Drive initiatives that promote children's well-being, creativity, and social skills through play-based learning.
