Maltron International Ltd is a leading UK manufacturer of advanced electronic medical technologies used worldwide in hospitals and clinical environments. We design, develop, and manufacture innovative diagnostic and monitoring systems that help healthcare professionals deliver better patient care.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our production and assembly team. This is a hands-on, practical role focusing on the assembly,testing, and calibration of our medical technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble and test electronic medical devices to defined specifications
Use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies,and signal generators to verify product performance
Assist in product calibration, inspection, and quality control
Support the production engineering team in day-to-day operations
Maintain accurate records of testing and assembly processes
Key Requirements / Skills:
Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills and good manual dexterity.
Strong understanding of basic electronics and circuit theory
Comfortable using hand tools (wire cutters, screwdrivers, crimpers); soldering is a bonus.
Confident in using electronic test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes,multimeters, etc.)
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment
Literacy and numeracy (so you can work with component counts, cable lengths etc).
Ideal Candidate Profile
Suited for students or recent graduates in technical disciplines seeking hands-on industry experience.
Relevant fields include: Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Product Design, or other STEM subjects with practical/lab components.
Suited for those with practical experience in assembly, electronics, cable/harness work, automotive wiring, or mechanical assembly is an advantage.
BTEC Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, Electrical Technology, or similar, as well as college-level practical electronics courses, are beneficial.
