Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation
Develop and implement innovative menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs to optimise operational efficiency
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service experiences
Monitor cooking processes to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively
Proficiency in food preparation and cooking across diverse cuisines
Excellent understanding of kitchen safety procedures and food safety standards
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Leadership qualities with the ability to organise workload efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management
Experience in food presentation and serving is advantageous
