About the role
You will join a warm, supportive team to deliver inspiring care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, also known as the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will use the key person approach, build trusting relationships with families, observe learning, plan next steps, and help create engaging environments both indoors and outdoors. You will uphold safeguarding and health and safety at all times and contribute ideas that keep our practice fresh and joyful.
What you will do
Plan and provide rich, play based experiences that meet the Early Years Foundation Stage areas of learning.
Observe, record and share children's progress with families, celebrating every small step.
Create calm, nature connected spaces and invitations to play in our garden and growing areas.
Work in partnership with colleagues and parents, communicating with warmth and clarity.
Follow safeguarding, inclusion and health and safety policies and take part in regular training.
Help with daily routines including mealtimes, sleep times and nappy changing in a respectful way.
What you bring
A positive, can do attitude and genuine love for early years.
Experience in a nursery or school is ideal. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent is an advantage.
Good written and spoken English and confidence using basic digital tools for observations.
A calm approach, curiosity about child development and willingness to learn.
Reliability and great teamwork.
Must haves
You will need to drive and have access to a car. There is no public transport to our setting.
Two satisfactory references.
A clear Disclosure and Barring Service check.
