Job Responsibilities and Core Skills Required
Onboarding Clients
: Guide new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and setup.
Supervising and reviewing the work of our bookkeeper
Monthly
balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing year-end accounts for
limited companies and sole traders
Handling
self-assessment returns
Running
payroll and pensions
Preparation of
VAT Returns
Supporting clients with bookkeeping - including
set-ups, clean-ups, and fixes
Answering client queries clearly and confidently
Using
Xero and cloud-based apps
with efficiency and skill
Adhoc Duties
: We may throw all sorts of interesting projects your way if we think you can handle it, so we need someone savvy!
What We Are Looking For
Qualified accountant
(Minimum of AAT, ICB, or equivalent)
Ideally
3 -5 years' + experience in practice
(bookkeeping, accounts prep, payroll, etc.)
A natural
finisher
- reliable, detail-driven, and organised
Warm, friendly, and professional - confident working with clients and in a small team
Strong IT Skills
: Utilise and manage software tools effectively, including setting up new systems and maintaining Office 365. You must love tech.
Able to travel to
Cirencester
for onboarding and
monthly check-ins
Attention to Detail
: Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
