We are hiring a Practice Nurse to work 21.5 hours between Monday to Friday from 08:00-18:30.
We are supportive of flexible working and welcome a conversation at the interview about flexible working arrangements.
You will be working at an established practice which meets the needs of 8,000 patients. Our tight-knit team is supported by a prescribing nurse practitioner, minor illness nurses, a practice nurse, an older adult's nurse and highly skilled and approachable managerial, dispensing, reception and administrative teams.
As a Practice Nurse, you will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients. Ideally, you will be a confident and independent practice nurse with previous experience of General Practice Nursing, minor illness and chronic disease management.
As well as providing routine nursing care to patients your main duties will include baby Immunisations, Cervical Screening, COPD and asthma condition management and long-term condition reviews. These skills are essential for the role we are hiring, candidates without these won't be considered.
WHOM ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
NMC Registered
PgCert Practice Nursing 1st Class- Advantageous
Good understanding of QOF, Enhanced Services and CQC/NICE guidelines.
Good IT, organisational, communication and clinical skills
Experience of working within a nursing team essential
Experience of working in primary care desirable
Experience of working in a GP practice desirable
Post subject to DBS check
