We have an exciting opportunity for a Radiographer to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham on a part-time, fixed-term basis (30 hours per week until May 2026) to cover a period of maternity leave.

What you'll be doing
As one of our Radiographers, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality imaging services, including general X-rays, mobile and theatre radiography, in line with professional codes of conduct.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and record-keeping in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the smooth running of the department and the best outcomes for patients.
  • Take responsibility for patient care, safety and confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintain your knowledge of current radiographic techniques and take part in training, competency assessments, and personal development opportunities.
  • Participate in clinical audits and contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
What we'll look for in you
We're seeking a proactive and compassionate Radiographer who has:
  • A BSc in Radiography or DCR (Diploma of College of Radiographers) and HCPC registration.
  • Proven experience in general radiography, with up-to-date clinical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to reassure patients and work effectively within a team.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A real motivation to deliver excellent care and support patient wellbeing.
  • Experience in MRI, clinical audits, or acute hospital work - desirable (but not essential)

I have worked for Practice Plus Group for almost six years, firstly in a bank role, and now as a permanent member of staff. I qualified as a radiographer in 2001 and worked in a busy NHS trust for 18 months. I was then given the opportunity to study for an ultrasound qualification.
