In early 2026 we are looking for a part time receptionist to join our friendly team for 2 days per week, 9am to 5pm (with potential to increase to 3 days per week) in an ambulatory equine veterinary practice on the outskirts of Winchester.
We are seeking a positive, friendly and reliable colleague who can provide excellent customer service and compassionate care, whilst staying calm under pressure.
The role is office based and will include:
Liaising with clients and colleagues to provide a high level of customer care
Managing telephone and email enquiries
Booking appointments and diary management
Taking payments
Supporting our vets
Ordering and dispensing medication as requested
You will need to have an excellent telephone manner and experience in the delivery of a high standard of customer care. You will also need good computer skills, attention to detail, be well organised and happy working in a busy and varied environment. We need an excellent communicator and a good team player.
A knowledge of horses and the local area is required and due to the rural location of the office you will need access to your own transport.
The role will start mid February 2026 and training will be provided. This is a permanent role which offers 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro-rata), Health & wellbeing benefits and a Company pension.
