We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Receptionist/Care Navigator to join our busy healthcare team. we are a GP Training Practice based on the University Campus in Chelmsford with 14000 patients. The successful candidate will play a vital role in guiding patients through their healthcare journeys, providing administrative support, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and medical professionals. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in making a positive impact within the community while developing their administrative and organisational skills. The role is for 3 shift per week (7.45 - 12.45 or 13.00 - 18.30) plus extended hours on a Saturday and evenings between 6.30 - 8.00. Cover for annual leave and sickness is essential.

Duties
Act as the primary point of contact for patients, providing courteous and professional assistance via phone and in person
Schedule nurses appointments, follow-ups, and coordinate referrals using various scheduling systems
Maintain accurate patient records through data entry and management of electronic health records (EHR) systems
Utilise Microsoft Office, SystmOne and Accurx manage correspondence, and handle administrative tasks
Assist with other clerical responsibilities
Ensure all communication adheres to confidentiality standards and organisational policies
Support the team with general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and organising documentation
Skills
Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Systmone and Accurx
Excellent data entry accuracy
Demonstrated administrative experience with strong attention to detail
Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Familiarity with health or social care environments is desirable but not essential
